Wine Wonderland in France

Many people dream of traveling to a magic wonderland full of princesses, rollercoasters, and funny characters. Nevertheless, not everyone finds this as exiting as traveling to a Wine Kingdom. In June, for many this dream will come true. France is set to open “La Cité du Vin” – in English, The City of Wine, in the region of Bordeaux. This territory is located in the largest wine growing area of the country, where the Romans were the first in charge of making wine.

French architects, Anouk Legendre and Nicolas Desmazières, designed the amazing “La Cité du Vin”. The 10-story attraction has 20 themed areas and exhibitions that include the alluring history of wine making. Visitors will be able to taste a worldwide selection of wine, while taking part in expert-led tasting sessions. To accompany a glass of wine, the park also has a simulated tour that shows what it was like to be a sea merchant sailing around the world, selling wine.

“La Cité du Vin” will open doors on June 1 and tickets have a cost of $22. There’s no need in calling a babysitter because children are allowed in the park. Kids will have the opportunity of tasting a range of grape juices selected specially for them; the ticket has a value of $10. There’s no need in planning a Disney adventure, when we have the alternative of visiting France and its Wine Wonderland.
