Coravin Partners with Landry’s Inc.

The wine list just got a little more accessible for steak lovers nationwide through a recent partnership between Coravin, Inc., makers of the Coravin System which allows users to pour a glass of wine without pulling the cork, and Landry’s Inc., the company behind high-end dining establishments, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Oceanaire Seafood Room. All 64 Domestic Morton’s Steakhouse locations as well as 13 Oceanaire Seafood Room restaurants are now outfitted with a Coravin Wine Access System, used to serve Ultra high-end wines by the glass for the first time.

Wine and steak have long been deemed the perfect pair. With this new partnership, Coravin and Landry’s take pairing to the next level. Through the adoption of the Coravin System, Landry’s becomes the first large national restaurant group to launch a continual, super premium wine by-the-glass program in the U.S. Morton’s diners can now enjoy five ultra-premium wines by-the-glass, including: 2012 Justin  “Isosceles” Red Blend, 2011 Whitehall Lane Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Gaja “Sito Moresco” Langhe, 2011 Marchesi Antinori “Tignanello” Super Tuscan, and 2014 Cakebread Chardonnay. Diners at Oceanaire will enjoy 2012 Goldeneye Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley, 2012 Chateau Montelena, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa, 2011 Marchese Antinori, “Tignanello”, Super Tuscan and 2014 Cakebread Chardonnay, Napa.

“We’ve never been able to offer this caliber of wines to our patrons due to the risk and cost of waste should an open bottle of wine oxidize before we can serve it,” said Tylor Field, III, Landry’s pisional Vice President of Wine and Spirits. “With Coravin, we are elevating Morton’s wine programs to a new level and are extremely excited to offer this added value to those dining in our restaurants.”

With the revolutionary Coravin system, the Sommelier never has to pull the cork from the bottle, ensuring that previously accessed bottles of wine stay fresh indefinitely and allowing restaurants to cater to wider consumer tastes while also maintaining their bottom line and transforming the typical dining experience.

“We are excited to partner with Landry’s on developing a unique wine by the glass program that offers premium wines to guests at Morton’s The Steakhouse and Oceanaire Seafood Room,” said Kareem Ghobrial, Director for North American Sales at Coravin, Inc. “Together, we are revolutionizing the dining experience and transforming the way wine is served, experienced, and enjoyed.”

Those dining at Morton’s The Steakhouse and Oceanaire Seafood Room locations can now expect to see Coravin fully integrated nationwide. To learn more about Coravin and the technology behind the system please visit www.coravin.com.
